Things to Buy / Requirements
- 300 gm Moth Dal (for 8th month)
- 1 teaspoon oil
- Plastic bag
- 1 Rupee coin
- Jaggery Lapsi (for 9th month)
- Coconut oil
Step-by-Step Instructions

8th Month Ritual: Soak moth dal in hot water for 7-8 hours. Mix with oil and a 1 Rupee coin, and place in a plastic bag.

Wave this bag over the pregnant woman's forehead 7 times, then have a servant leave it under a tree away from the house.

9th Month (Kodamdesarji's Tax): Prepare jaggery lapsi.

Offer the lapsi and coconut oil in the east direction of the house to seek blessings for a smooth delivery.
