What is this about? (History)
A joyful celebration where the baby's paternal aunt (Bhua) brings a decorated basket of boiled grains (Ghugri) to bless the newborn boy, accompanied by playful banter and gift-giving.

Step-by-Step Instructions

The aunt boils wheat and gram to make Ghugri, decorates it in a basket with 5-7 pearls and brocade, and places it on her head.

She arrives at her brother's house with her family, often accompanied by music (Gaza-Baja).

Bhabhi sees this and hides on terrace. Later on forcing by the nanad, she comes down.

Nanad applies tilak to her brother and gives him the Ghugri. The brother then hands it to his wife (the mother).

Traditional Ghugri songs are sung.

Jimnawar si done, poshak and ruppees are given to bahu's brother. Things are distributed to women if present. Daughters are given seekh and silami to jawai.
