A joyful celebration where the baby's paternal aunt (Bhua) brings a decorated basket of boiled grains (Ghugri) to bless the newborn boy, accompanied by playful banter and gift-giving.

Step-by-Step Instructions

The aunt boils wheat and gram to make Ghugri, decorates it in a basket with 57 pearls and brocade, and places it on her head.

She arrives at her brother's house with her family, often accompanied by music (Gaza-Baja).

Playful banter ensues where the aunt jokingly hides on the terrace until she is coaxed down by her brother.

The aunt applies a tilak to her brother's hands and gives him the Ghugri. The brother then hands it to his wife (the mother).

Traditional Ghugri songs are sung. The brother rewards his sister with money, clothes, and silver coins (Neg).
