- Gold coin (Guinea/Mohar) or Gold Chain
- Money cover
- Silver cow and calf (for Godan)
Step-by-Step Instructions

The Brahmin calls for Kanyadaan. The bride's grandparents or parents step forward.

The Hathleva is released. The grandparents/parents present a gold coin, chain, or money to the groom. This act is Kanyadaan.

For Cow Donation (Godan), the bride's side donates a silver cow and calf to the groom's side. (Sometimes, a money cover is given in its place.)
