Samathuni is the concluding ritual of the wedding ceremony performed by the bride's side to honor the groom's family and seek forgiveness for any shortcomings.

Step-by-Step Instructions

The elders of the bride's side and the groom's side sit facing each other on opposite sides of the stage.

A Swastika is drawn on a silver/bronze vessel placed on a Bajot, and a significant cash amount (like 21,000) is placed inside.

The bride's side formally presents this vessel and the Bajot to the groom's side.

The bride's elders apply tilak to the groom's elders and gift them chains, coins, or money covers.
