Sata Ritual
🕒 Two to four months before the wedding, or even 5-6 days before, depending on convenience. The night before sending the Sata, henna is applied.

The Sata ritual involves sending items between the bride and groom's families before the wedding. It is initiated by the girl's family sending the Sata to the boy's family, followed by the boy's family returning with the Banadi's shell.

Step-by-Step Instructions

The girl's family sends the Sata to the boy's family at an auspicious time.

The Navkar Mantra and Mangal recitation are performed.

The boy's family returns to the girl's house to fill the Banadi (bride's) shell, sending it with her brother-in-law.

The bride is seated on a bajot (wooden stool) covered with a red giddi in the courtyard.
