Step-by-Step Instructions

The bride and groom are brought to the stage or Mandap. The bride garlands the groom first, followed by the groom garlanding the bride.

The bride and groom are seated in the Chanwari.

A Brahmin ties the alliance (knot) between the bride's saree and the groom's attire, enclosing green gram and a coin inside the knot.

Hathleva: The right hand of the bride and the right hand of the groom are joined.
